Aldeia Capoeira Schiedam is a division of Aldeia Capoeira. Aldeia Capoeira aims to stimulate the development of capoeira in the Netherlands. To this end, Aldeia Capoeira organizes training, workshops and performances at various locations in the Netherlands. Aldeia Capoeira was founded in 2001 by Mestre Araminho from Brazil. The name Aldeia literally means settlement. It is a word used to indicate smaller villages in Brazil.
