Professor Christos tried many martial arts before discovering capoeira at university in Leicester. He fell in love with the art and began sharing his knowledge. After teaching in Leicester for several years, Professor Christos set up Senzala Grantham in 2013. We train under the guidance of Mestre Pedro and ultimately Mestre Gato. We offer classes for all ages and everyone is welcome. Senzala Grantham is part of the international capoeira group - Grupo Senzala (formed in 1963). Mestre Pedro has many groups in the UK in Cambridge, Sheffield, Leicester, Northampton, Glasgow, Edinburgh and many abroad including in the Basque Country, Barcelona, Indonesia, Iran and China.
