The Irmãos Guerreiros group was founded in 1983 by Mestre Baixinho and Mestre Marrom, father and son.
In the outskirts of São Paulo the two began their cultural work with children, adolescents and adults, in which Capoeira lessons as well as music and percussion lessons are the focus. The work of the group focuses on the Afro-Brazilian culture and in particular on Capoeira Angola, which is used as a medium for social understanding and integration of young people from socially marginalised groups.
