Grupo Balança Capoeira is a led by Mestre Valu from Salvador Bahia. Mestre Valu trained with Mestre Boca Rica, Os Filhos de Bimba and many other famous mestres of capoeira. He began his school in the early 1980s in Brazil and now has schools in Holland, Gambia and the US. He focuses on the acrobatic form of capoeira called 'capoeira regional', but also teaches the slower form called 'capoeira angola'.
