The Capoeira Slovenia Sports and Cultural Association was founded in 2005. The association is run by Urška Stolnik under the mentorship of Mestre Henrique Simões .
The Capoeira Slovenia Sports and Cultural Association organises regular capoeira trainings for children and adults in central Slovenia, Styria and Gorenjska. Several times a year, the association organises international capoeira seminars , self-defense workshops, yoga and Brazilian Portuguese , presents capoeira to the general public at various events (seminars, conferences, concerts, sporting events, etc.) and participates in charity projects . The mission of ŠKD Capoeira Slovenia is to enable safe and systematic practice of capoeira , to improve the quality of life and health of trainees and to encourage good relationships , which is also emphasised by the slogan of the association 'Capoeira in good company' .
