The Ashé Odara group was founded in 2015 by Marcos Vinicius da Cunha Sarandão ( Contra Mestre Marcos ). Contramestre Marcos comes from Rio de Janeiro, where he learned Capoeira Angola from Mestre Neco. He set up a group in Konstanz and taught Capoeira Angola in Zurich from 1996 until his retirement in 2019.
