Dendê de Maré is the Capoeira Angola group created by Mestre Pezão since 2013. We are a group of individuals from various backgrounds and nationalities inspired by Mestre Pezão to learn, respect and develop this beautiful and rich Afro Brazilian Art form. Dendê de Maré believes in the power of this art not only for being a symbol of resistance and freedom but also for the many layers which are deeply rooted in our development as human beings.
