The Capoeira Banzo de Senzala Atenas academy was founded by Mestre Ediandro Almeida (creator and leader of the Banzo de Senzala group - Barcelona), and Professor Manel Ariza in 2001, and was the first Capoeira school in Athens. Mestre Ediandro is a graduate of the Association of Capoeira Senzala de Santos of Master Sombra. Today academy branches are located in Ibiza (Spain) and Athens. Banzo de Senzala is a member of the Capoeira Senzala de Santos federation, headed by Mestre Sombra.
